Every Confirmed Weapon in GTA 6: The Full GTA 6 Weapons List

Last updated: 13 October 2026 · 37 days until launch · Checked against Rockstar’s trailers, screenshots, edition listings and An Extended Look

Every confirmed weapon in GTA 6 – full GTA 6 weapons list

Quick answer

Rockstar has shown about 30 weapons and weapon props in official material so far. Only 5 have names Rockstar has used: the Girardi ES9 and Klose K17 pistols, the Hawk & Little Morgan revolver, the Duke 556 assault rifle and the Moreland 850 shotgun. Four more have a name printed on the gun (Mustang .357, Nipper .38, Capo, S&M). Everything else is identified by its real-world look. The RPG, speargun, grenades and taser that many lists call “confirmed” come from the 2022 leak and have not appeared in Rockstar’s own footage.

Search for a GTA 6 weapons list and you get the same problem every time: guns Rockstar showed in a trailer sit in the same column as names lifted from the September 2022 leak, with real-world model numbers and “stats” added on top. One big list calls 47 items “confirmed”, but a good share of them have only ever appeared in leaked development footage.

This page separates the two. Every weapon below carries a label showing how Rockstar showed it, and the leak-only weapons get their own section. Rockstar revealed the arsenal slowly, across a release date that moved twice (our GTA 6 delay timeline has every date), so the list below also shows when each gun first appeared. For everything else, browse our GTA 6 guides.

How we label each weapon

Rockstar has never published an official weapons list. Everything we know comes from two trailers, its screenshot and art drops, the edition listings on the PlayStation and Xbox stores, and the 26-minute An Extended Look gameplay video from 27 August 2026. Each weapon gets one of these labels:

Rockstar name  Rockstar has used the weapon’s in-game name in its own text or on screen.

Name on gun  A model or brand name is readable on the gun in an official image, but Rockstar has not said it.

Seen, unnamed  Clearly shown as a weapon in Rockstar footage or art, identified only by its real-world look.

Prop / NPC  Seen as an object or in an NPC’s hands. Likely usable, but not shown as a player weapon.

Leak only  Seen only in the 2022 leaked development footage. Not confirmed.

How solid is the evidence? (42 weapons tracked)

As of 13 October 2026. Variants of the same gun (for example the scoped and snub-nosed Morgan revolvers) count once.

The 5 weapons Rockstar has named

These are the only GTA 6 weapon names that come from Rockstar itself rather than from fans reading markings or leak menus.

1. Girardi ES9 (Jason’s pistol)

A Beretta 92FS-style 9mm and the pistol Jason uses most. It shows up in his Trailer 2 drive-by, in several screenshots and in An Extended Look. The Ultimate Edition adds a personalised version with engraving; in the art, the slide reads “J. Duval” and the grip carries Sua Sponte, the motto of the US Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment, which fits Jason’s Army past.

2. Klose K17 (Lucia’s pistol)

A Glock 17-style 9mm with some SIG P320 styling in the slide. Lucia holds it at the end of Trailer 1 and uses it to carjack a driver in An Extended Look. The Ultimate Edition version is engraved for her. Promotional art of Boobie Ike shows the same pistol with what looks like an auto switch on the back plate, the source of all the “Glock switch” talk. Rockstar has not shown whether that part changes how the gun fires.

3. Hawk & Little Morgan revolver

A heavy .44-style revolver (Hawk & Little is Rockstar’s stand-in for Smith & Wesson, and the name looks like a nod to Arthur Morgan). The Ultimate Edition includes his-and-hers versions with palm-tree grips, engraving and a scope, styled after Tommy Vercetti’s estate. A plain snub-nosed version also appears in An Extended Look, so the revolver itself does not look edition-locked.

4. Duke 556 Assault Rifle

An M4A1-style carbine from Duke, the brand Rockstar uses in place of Colt (it also makes guns in Red Dead Redemption 2). In An Extended Look, Jason takes one from a fallen attacker in the final shootout and keeps fighting with it. Duke carbines with different optics, foregrips and stocks appear across the screenshots, including the one Raul holds on the cover art.

5. Moreland 850 shotgun

A Remington 870-style pump shotgun. Jason picks it up from a body during the stash-house raid early in An Extended Look. During that fight some hit markers turn yellow rather than red, which suggests non-lethal hits on limbs are possible with it, though Rockstar has not explained the system.

Every other confirmed weapon, by type

Handguns

  • Duke Mustang .357 — a new-model Colt Python lookalike. A biker in the Ambrosia screenshot holds it, with “MUSTANG .357” on the barrel and the Duke logo on the frame.
  • Nipper .38 — a small Bersa-style carry pistol Lucia holds in several pieces of art, including the Vintage Vice City Pack key art.
  • Capo pistol — a modern 1911-style gun with a slide-mounted red dot. Raul carries one in his screenshot; a plain 1911 also turns up in an enemy’s hands in An Extended Look.

Submachine guns

  • MP5-style SMG — both leads carry one in the Trailer 2 robbery, and only Jason’s has a red dot, which points to sights being an add-on.
  • MAC-11-style machine pistol — in Jason’s 1980s-outfit art and in An Extended Look.
  • S&M SMG — an APC9-style gun with “S&M” on the grip. Some sites call it the “DW9”; we could not trace that name to Rockstar.
  • SPP / MP9-style SMG — in promotional art with a holographic sight, and on the Ammu-Nation wall with a foregrip and stock.

Rifles

  • AK-pattern rifles — on the Ammu-Nation wall in Trailer 2 and carried by masked attackers in An Extended Look.
  • Gold Micro Draco — Raymond grabs a gold-plated compact AK after a warning call in An Extended Look.
  • Suppressed AR pistol — a stockless AR with a suppressor in an Extended Look shootout, the clearest suppressor shown so far.
  • Duke marksman rifle — a longer, scoped AR carried by a poacher in Grassrivers.

Shotguns, hunting rifles and heavy weapons

  • Wood-stock pump-action — Lucia fires one one-handed while carrying bags, flipping it to rack it, and a shop owner aims one at the robbers.
  • Double-barrel shotgun — an alligator hunter uses one from an airboat; both side-by-side and over-under doubles hang in Phil’s Ammu-Nation.
  • Bolt-action, M1A-style and .22 rifles — all carried by hunters and poachers in the Mount Kalaga and Grassrivers screenshots, and the M1A and .22 also hang in Ammu-Nation.
  • M249-style light machine gun — Phil fires it into the air in his Ammu-Nation TV ad in Trailer 2.
  • Grenade launcher — Lucia uses a revolving, Milkor-style launcher on a line of police cars in Trailer 2.
  • Molotov and C4-style charge — Lucia takes a Molotov from the weapon wheel to burn a getaway car; an explosive charge appears in one Extended Look frame.

Melee and props

Rockstar has not yet shown Jason or Lucia hitting anyone with a melee weapon. A baseball bat, two hammers, a switchblade, a pool cue and a mini-golf club all appear, but as NPC items, edition art or activity props. They are very likely usable, as they were in earlier games, but treat them as “expected” rather than “confirmed”.

Ultimate Edition and pre-order weapons

The only weapon items Rockstar has formally listed are in the edition descriptions on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 versus $79.99 for Standard, and Rockstar says its items unlock across the story rather than all at once.

Standard Edition players still get these guns

Some guides say the Girardi ES9, Klose K17 and Morgan revolver are Ultimate-only. The listing only covers the personalised versions. The plain ES9 and K17 are the leads’ everyday guns in every trailer, and a plain Morgan appears in An Extended Look. The Vintage Vice City Pack goes to every edition bought digitally before 20 November 2026 (and physical pre-orders while stock lasts).

September 2026 · Developer interviews

Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson explains carry limits and how NPCs react to visible guns.

19 November 2026 · Launch

The full arsenal becomes known. We will rebuild this list from the game itself.

How many guns can you carry in GTA 6?

Far fewer than in GTA 5. In a September 2026 interview, Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson said Jason and Lucia can always conceal two handguns, and can carry two long guns that stay visible: one in hand or on the off side, and one on the back. He said GTA 5’s habit of pulling a shotgun out of nowhere in front of people no longer fits the new level of detail.

On your body

2 concealed handguns + 2 visible long guns (rifles, shotguns and the like).

In your car

Preview coverage says long guns can go in any vehicle, but only your personal vehicle holds your full loadout.

At a garage

Rockstar’s edition copy lists weapon lockers at the Shore Court and Paradise garages.

People react to how you carry. Nelson said a long gun on your back is usually fine, but holding a gun in public makes nearby people uneasy and they drift away. This is why many lists that say “two rifles and two pistols” are slightly off: the limit is on long guns in general, not rifles only.

Attachments and combat changes seen so far

Shown in Rockstar footage

  • Red dots, holographic sights, ACOG-style scopes, foregrips, different stocks and a suppressor on various guns.
  • A redesigned weapon wheel with separate Weapons and Items tabs and two quick health slots.
  • Picking up weapons from downed enemies mid-fight.
  • One-handed shotgun firing while carrying a bag.
  • Yellow (limb) and red (vital) target markers, hinting at non-lethal shots.

Not shown yet

  • A customisation menu, or which attachments fit which guns.
  • Prices, ammo types or any weapon stats.
  • Whether the K17’s switch makes it fully automatic.
  • Dual-wielding guns or a first-person mode (neither confirmed nor ruled out).
  • Player melee combat with any weapon.

Leak-only weapons (not confirmed)

These come from the September 2022 leak of early development footage. They may well be in the final game, but Rockstar has not shown any of them in its own trailers, art or An Extended Look. Names like “Shrewsbury Hunter Sniper” or “Coil Shocker” are leak menu labels or fan names, not official ones.

GTA 6 weapon myths corrected

Claim you will seeWhat is true
“The RPG, speargun and grenades are confirmed.”Leak only. None has appeared in Rockstar’s own material.
“The ES9, K17 and Morgan are Ultimate Edition exclusives.”Misleading. Only the engraved, personalised versions are listed for Ultimate.
“You can carry two rifles and two pistols.”Close. Rockstar says two concealed handguns and two long guns, which includes shotguns.
“The Glock switch gives full-auto fire.”Unconfirmed. The part is visible in art; how it works has not been shown.
“GTA 6 has no first-person mode.”Unknown. Rockstar has said nothing either way.
“Each gun has known damage and fire-rate stats.”Made up. No stats have been published.
“Jason favours rifles, Lucia favours pistols.”No evidence. Both use pistols, SMGs and long guns in the footage.
“The Service Carbine is an M16.”Wrong. The Duke carbines are M4A1/AR-15 types, with collapsible stocks and short barrels.

What to expect next

Rockstar may show more before launch, but the full arsenal, prices and attachment menus will only be clear once the game is out on 19 November 2026. If you have followed the many date changes, you know Rockstar reveals late. Check your GTA 6 launch time and we will update this list from the game itself.
